maybe ill just get a Current Dual Satellite... $128 for a 20 inch, thats not to bad

EDIT: Illuming.com has a 70W MH retrofit for $140 only $12 more... but ill have to do the mounting and a fan and custom hood but might as well do it now and have more opportunities (sp?) later

NOt a bad deal, but just think u can have about 75% of corals if you just by the nanocube. they come with I think either PC's or T5 or MH lighting. if your thinking of spending 140 $ on the light alone, why not spend an extra 50$ on a nano setup, that way u get the filter, tank, hood, lights, ETC. they come in 6-12-24-and i think 29G prolly way more sizes. I saw some the other day at my LFS for 250 for a 20sumthin G(i think), just an idea...

I know that i can get a nano cube for a little more..... but come wheres your sense of adventure.. i want to build my own tank... i want to learn how to do some of this stuff my self... part of me building this tank is to give me something to do over my month break from school... oh and if get a remountable light i can use it for other stuff... like growing plants or what ever.... if you catch my drift... alex... wink wink nudge nudge

EDIT: Oh and I looked at some nano cubes when you said that and for 200 you can get a nanocube but it has 2 24w CF which isn't a MH... and to add a MH to a hood your looking at a few hundred dollars extra... keep in mind when you put a light like that in a nanocube your going to be adding a lot of heat which means you need a chiller... at nanotuners they sell the hood with MH and dual antic lights for the sale price of $589... and thats just for the hood... keep in mind that is top of the line i wasnt bargin shopping... so a DIY is much cheaper

Good luck with the plants, mine got taken out of my tank by my uncle.. it was a damn shame. go have fun with your adventure...
