Hello; Yes you caught me. I should have said the recycling center in my area does not recycle glass bottles only aluminum cans. Glass can be recycled in some places.

That's quite upsetting. That doesn't help then since glass is quite reusable..

Back in the 90's our area was big on cans, glass and paper but it all faded away. There is a metal yard closeby which is where I take my cans but the rest...no luck.

Hmm that's quite strange. We have a recycle bin that goes out with the trash anything recyclable goes into it ,they sort it. I assumed most city areas at least in the u.s. would be doing this. Maybe just my state.....as I see recycle bins out by the curb for pickup in other cities I drive through. Not so much rural areas.
