This is a stupid law. I mean I understand what they're worried about and all, but the consequences would be much worse. Sure, you wouldn't have the freak accidents of a 20-something-foot Reticulated python eating the neighbor's dog anymore. But then you wouldn't have kids going to zoos to see a live tiger. If the kids don't see it, they don't care. If no one cares, it goes down the drain. Say goodbye to "green". I'm sure WWF isn't going to be to happy about this.
And even better, the states don't usually want us going out and catching our own pets. Well, they better make up their damn minds. Either let the people buy what they want (within reason) or they're going to and get it themselves.
I know if they tried to take my leo or my fish, they'd be taking me too.
And of course, you know all the existing exotic pets in the U.S. will be killed. Disgusting.
