another update on mine...
The firemouth is defiinely gone. Not 100% sure who the culprit is, but leaning towards the ornate. Anyways new tank mate is a redheaded cichlid.

hello anne, are those (second set) nostrils the holes almost under the eyes? i noticed a while back that my albino does have a lot of "holes" on its head. ckecked the other bichirs and all of them appeared to have these holes under the eyes, near the gills, etc.
i also suspect they use these holes for balance or something... is that right?
