my 2 year old is smart and kind climb well it seems. I left the a lid off my 55 gal, and she thought my convict was hungry. she dumped a can 3/4 full of fish food in there. i didn't notice till i was headed to bed, she even told me she feed it. I moved the convict back to the tank with his brother. I started to suck out what i could with a gravel cleaner suction. 15 gal in I realized it was hopeless and went to bed. The filter intakes clogged and I just turned them off, with the intention of starting over. I came home from work this morning to some very bad looking water. I cleaned more up around the filter intakes, add more water and turned the filters back on. just did a water change/cleaning with the filling hose running too. I removed 40 gals of water and junk. rinsed on of the hob filters and add a new one with charcoal still in it. there is still food in there, I plan to do daily cleaning starting on wednesday. my nitrates and nitrites are good, my ammonia is in the danger block. My tad poles are doing great.
