Little glass bangers

I got fish killed itself when it hit the glass, not like it's hate me that much but it got spooked out by little kid sudden move tapped the glass and it thrust with full speed to the glass and died soon after, Its ATF species 
It would suck for a fish to die from hitting its head on the glass. Funny you mention because i was over a buddys house just a month ago when a 2 year old tapped on the glass of his tank, his gar freaked out and went into a paralyzed mode for a good 5 mins. I thought he wasn't going to make it as he was floating sideways limp for awhile. Pink Convict MF pair in a 20 would work fairly well imo. As far as I know, they don't get anywhere as big as the original "black" variety. still lots of attitude and quite colorful w/ iridescent highlights on fins and rosey orangeish pink on sides. Beautiful fitch (thats a fish that throws fits).
Local lfs lost a powder blue hippo (saltwater) when woman hit the glass to get another fish to move to better position for her to see it. All the fish in that tank jumped about 6 inches forward. The PBH hit the glass hard and went into a panic attack with all the symptoms (extremrly rapid breathing and lay sideways and body contorted). It died within 2 hours.
My little sister (2 1/2) would slap my tanks repeatedly every day until I hit her, then mom hit me... Just Kidding!!! Almost...
Our mother was deceased. I was 16 and the oldest still at home (not counting dad) (but they do count) I would scold her and tell her to stop hitting the fish and cute as can be she says "I no hit fish"...
So I took her to the dining room table and placed her hand palm down and flat on it, then covered her hand with a thick towel and slapped down hard... she yanked her hand out and was crying (shocked) (you can hit a palm down flat open hand on a flat smooth surface very hard with absolutely no pain) and she said "you hit me"... I said no I didn't... of course she kept insisting and I denied every time... Then I explained to her that I never hit her... I hit the towel and she felt it.
Then I said when she hits the glass the fish feel it and it hurts the pretty fish.
She never hit the tanks again.
If you've got little tank slappers, try it, but make absolutely certain their hand is fully open and palm down or you really might hurt them.
Done properly, the air between the palm and table gets trapped and forms a fantastic pneumatic shock absorber.

If your into native fish a green sunfish I've heard is a glass banger. For cichlids maybe a severum would work, I have a gold severum and it's not exactly a glass banger like it wants to kill you but is very friendly. Mine let's me pet it sometimes.
