Looking at these replies and the pics under your names, I thought I was on cichlid fish keeper. If I was into cichlids I would feed pellets to. But the world of aquaria is not as simple as keeping cichlids. There are actually fish out there that will not readily accept a pellet. Welcome to the world of top level predators. Were pellets get laughed at.

umm MASSIVORE is not for cichlids..
IT IS FOR ALL predatory FISH
just watch the video

Your trying to set a rule for something where rules don't exist...
And stop double posting. It's hard to reply to you when you do that.

What do you think would happen if in that video, neo dropped in 10 feeders and 10 pellets? And it is a perch what did you expect? And i would be willing to bet in that fishes life there came a time when it was starved off of live foods. Seems like going against nature is the thing to do in the cichlid world.

It is not just cichlids where the complexity comes. I keep cichlids myself. It is easy to judge where our statements tend to come from as a result of what you mentioned. We tend to see the general observation which is why most of our statements tend to be rather broad. Unfortunately, this happens all the time. If we are discussing specifics, we would not be comparing which is which and instead give a layout of what exactly is best for a particular group.

This is a forum. Everyone is entitled to his own opinion and how he perceive something in question one way or another.

I don't feed feeders.
The only fish I've ever fed feeders was a piranha.
You can't take a fish that eats other fish in the wild, and expect it to live as healthy as it could be on pellets. I don't care if it says massivore on the package. Now, again, I'm not suggesting that feeders are the whole diet, or even most of it. I'm just saying that, in my eyes, a fish that eats fish, should eat fish.
