But both of those were florida strain and would not survive a NY winter. Northern strain rarely get over 9lbs.

I still would keep them in a much larger tank. Im going to keep a pair in a 350 gallon.

My apologies, the ny state record for this subspecies is "only" 11 lbs, 4 oz. Either way, 100 gallons is way too small to house five mature bass and would be tight for one.

I'm still finishing up the 100 tank then I'll post a pic/video for you guys to see how many juvenile 13"ers I should keep in it.

You would probably have more fun with a group of Bluegill in that size tank.

I had 5 juvie Largemouth in a 150 and they outgrew it in less then a year. I wouldnt raise them until you have the space to house one.

instead of bass in your 100 i would put green sunfish in it they kind of look like bass and act almost the same

Yeah seriously dude, 5 - 13" Bass in a 100 gallon aquarium is like putting 5 of you into a boiler room or a small closet. Not to mention the amount of problems your going to face with 5 Big Bass (13") , for example they will produce a lot of waste! My 12 Inch Largemouth Bass used to produce waste that looked like the candy called "Good & Plenty" , the sad thing was that his waste was good and plenty for my tank to drop its PH to 6.2 and my filter couldnt keep up. I cant imagine how many water changes and filter cartridge changes your gonna do with 5 largemouth Bass in a 100 Gallon Tank!

I may also remind you that it is illegal to catch Largemouth Bass in New York City lakes and take them home. I know because I live in New York City and all lakes are "Catch and Release Fishing".

If you want largemouth Bass there are plenty of vendors on NANFA and possibly here on Monsterfishkeepers that could sell you a legal largemouth and ship it.

I purchased my Largemouth Bass from a Legal Vendor in upstate New York.
