No interest at all? I think it's the highest level of fishkeeping. With the knowledge, resources, and specimens you have, I think you should give it a go. Plus, then you'd be the true loach master :D

I appreciate the encouragement, but it really doesn't interest me. I am more interested in helping people keep the loaches they have alive (mine too). I would guess that 90% of loaches collected and exported for aquarium trade are dead within a year. I would much rather help other people enjoy the loach keeping hobby than have one token spawn that makes me famous among a very small group for something that will likely make little difference in the world. I would like to save the clown loach by making it less of a disposable commodity.

:clap

I didn't mean breeding for fame. The clown loach seems to be your signature fish. I just figured you would want to take this fish to the limits of fishkeeping.

That clown loach is nuts...looks like he has a fake bake...spray on tan.

I actually have been considering that it might be dyed, but I don't see any injection marks.

I think it's about time you make a loach pond. That would be PIMP.

It seems natural...I wonder what type of lighting his previous tank had.

what do you think it would be like swimming in a loach pond? Would they nibble at you, or all stab you at once with their bifurcated spines?

About a year ago I was hand feeding my loaches, and it was the weirdest feeling, having 30+ loaches all striking your hand for food.
