I find the modern skunks to be a smaller growing variety here in the uk which don’t carry half the reputation the old ones used to, they are almost peaceful.

The Skunks were once common for sale in my area, but haven't been available in quite some time.

I am not sure I would have skunks with American cichlids. They are just too small.
But if you like skunks, I would highly recommend splendida, slightly larger than a skunk but with a beautiful patterned tail.
