Local Fish Store Best Lies

Amongst the many tanks at an LFS, there were two tanks with baby catfish. In one tank they had dozens of 2.5 inch babies labeled iridescent sharks for about $4. In another tank they had about 4 baby catfish (many less than in the ids tank and clearly done on purpose to convey a sense of scarceness ) which were the same exact fish. However, these ids were labeled "Paroons" and were $20 not $4 dollars.

I put my blind trust in the woman who owns the store and had her bag one of the paroons up for me without really taking a close look at them...as they were all hiding behind the sponge filters and I was in a bit of a rush.
Needless to say...I haven't had a chance to go back to the store...but when I do, I am looking forward to seeing whether she actually believed she was selling Paroons or if she was just scamming her clients...Not Cool

Yup, you read my mind. And since I haven't been around the Lounge as of late...because I did a :nono:...It was nice to be able to vent a bit here, lol. Speaking of which...how are things going there?

I can't access it if I am logged in, so I can only view it as a visitor...but can't comment. I got in some trouble a few weeks back...so until then....only window shopping, lol. But I will definitely take a look and see what you all have been talking about. Thanks for the heads up, lol.
 
That's okay,just view it as a visitor.Interesting reading but everything that needs to be said there has already been said a few times already.
 
One of my lfs emailed me saying they have 4" datnoids for 15.99
The picture is if a ST... I called and described the tails to help positively ID.

They said yes definitely ST.

I get there and of course they're indos.

I had a worker at Petsmart tell me that I can't keep Angels with cichlids…because cichlids are too aggressive. I was like…you know Angels ARE cichlids right?
