every body is welcome ... there use to be a annual MFK fishing trip to FL but the year I moved back it stopped :irked::irked::irked:

i'm down to restart it :D
I'm in. Keep an eye out for a cheap Roach Motel.

I come down there 3-4 times a year with a 3 week trip scheduled starting March 10th. I have always looked for snakeheads and haven't found them yet. I did hook Into a peacock bass in October in Tamiami though as well as every cichlid you could imagine!

Where is this lake at that you were fishing? PM is fine if you dont wish to let out location.

I don't have a particular lake or canal...I stay out west by the sawgrass expressway in the city of coral springs. I usually walk up and down canals and lakes randomly starting from my friends' neighborhood. I see snakeheads and bass in every body of water in western broward county.

snakeheads require you to walk slowly and look out in front of you along the bank. as soon as they see you they will run...not anywhere as aggressive as people portray them to be...they do not like to be seen. Bass you can walk up to and they will just hang out. I had huge bass swim right in front of me like I was not there.

Lets get a date and place figured out so some of us out of state mfk'ers can get this booked :)

let's see if Li wants to come down too...been 2 years i think since mfk had a official fishing trip in florida...

i'll check and maybe coordinate with everyone who will go on a date

Never seen them in Coral Springs and have been there alot. What bait?

you have to look way ahead as you walk...they spook real easy...I use live shiners but seen other ppl that fish in the same area use artificial bait.
