i think alot of these are really great. does anyone here know photoshop really well? i have it on a computer, but i dont know how to use it and it looks so hard! i guess id have to take a college course or something in it just to learn it lol.. if so, we could do our sketches, then send that person our artwork and they could photoshop it into reality-

any graphic artists here? well lets keep cranking out logos, drawings and stuff we can put on shirts, hats, banners, bumperstickers, etc.. mugs! lol..
emi-im going to find your drawing on here and draw that for you too, just so you can compare the two-but it took me 5 hours to draw that one drawing, so be warned it will be a few days- i was on vacation, now tomorrow i go back to work for the next 8 days.. i will try to work on it in the evenings..

No problem at all, I know how hard you worked on the first one, and it was amazing, so I know the other one will be as well!! For the ray, could we try a manta, and for the shark, could we try either a Tiger or Hammerhead???

Gosh I know, I am such a brat, LOL. Don't hurt me!! LOL.

And I was wondering the same about photo-shoppers, where you at!?! We need yo skills!! xox

lol no problem. ill mimmick your drawing, but sub out a manta and tiger shark. its very very rare for me to have the time to sit down and do this, between working full time and the hubby and i are right in the middle of a major basement renovation-we are putting up drywall now. lol
ill just sketch it out and not color it in-it would take a few hours to just sit and do color. so ill do a sketch and post it, and you tell me if you like it, and if not tell me what to change and ill erase and change it-its easier that way. i cant erase once the color is down-no matter how bad im itching to lol..

ill try to start it thursday-ill keep ya updated chickie!

Well I attempted at some shark/galapagos/turtle ideas... not sure if you will like them.. I like a few but not sure if it's to much or to plain. I know the text would look better but I cant do good letters (didnt know what to put for text either) =]

One of them with the turtle and hammer head.. I didnt know it looked plain so in the second pic I added the galapagos islands in hopes it would look better and not be too much. I kinda used the islands from a shark pic I did also.. I liked the shark but didnt know what to do with it. I also have a plain pic of a shark... didnt know what to do with that one lol.

:headbang2Whoot! that looks great Ash loving the turtle :grinno: We need someone to do the lettering....

Melissa - Sounds awesome! I know you're busy so Thursday is totally fine. I agree, sketching in pencil is the smartest way, LOL especially when you're dealing with me who has a million last minute "what about this" tweaks, lol. I know, I need to be slapped sometimes. Haha

Ash - LOVIN the ideas. For the text, it's going to say

Ocean's Advocate
2009 Galapagos Islands Campaign

I really really like your first picture (or last??) I dunno, the one at the bottom of your post, LOL.
I love the idea of the actual outline of the islands in the background and the sharks in the foreground!! I say we use a Galapagos Shark (naturally), and a Hammer, as that design will go on the back.
"2009 Galapagos Islands Campaign" will be on the back

For the front I am thinkin a sea turtle w/ "ocean's advocate", maybe making the turtle the "O" (not straight up, but turning in towards the word slightly) and the name going accross the chest in a slight arch ---> like this: ( only turn 90 degrees clockwise it so it's in the shape of a frown. Doesn't have to be dramatic, just a slight slight arch.

Sharks are actually one thing I CAN draw pretty well too, so I will get to sketching on this as well so we can play with the idea and see how many ways we can arrange it.

For the lettering, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE if someone knew how to make it look old and worn. You know how old treasure maps have the "burnt" looking, ragged edges??? WELL if someone could do the lettering like that, I think it would be absolutely amazing!!!!

Thanks =] I'll play around some more and see what I can come up with. Yes the last picture at the bottom was my favorite too lol. I can always take that sea turtle and try it on the front with the text and O and see what I can come up with. As for the hammer head and sharks in the pic... I looked up pictures of sharks from the galapagos and tried to draw them so they should be sharks from there, but you never know what sources to trust :screwy: I can use the hammer I drew plus one of the sharks from my other drawings and put them together for the back??? I'll play around with it later today when I get off work and done buying car parts. :D
