lol mfk getting slated i had to post!-)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ok lol, edit helped!-)

justarn, I can't figure out which side of the fence you're on. there's plenty of us that have kept dwarf and giants with other species with out problems. pre ban of course! I haven't seen a channa in years!:D as far as expert adolescents here..... well it does get tiring at times..... still. But there is way more good info on here when using your down arrow to speed through the scat

That made me lol. Tbh i think that is kinda a uk problem, fishkeeping, or at least bigger or more unusual fishkeeping isnt as big here as it is in the us or asia. And because of this there is alot of people uninformed on most unusual species, so when someone asks about an unusual or rare fish they get responses from people who either have kept the species badly but for a decent amount of time or they did a quick google search. To say mfk isnt respected or recognised around the world is utter stupidity. We have a collection of people who have a collected knowlege and experience of first hand fish keeping like no other forum around. And i especially liked the comment that you can keep whatever fish you want as long as the tank is overfilterd. "I know this 2' rtc is too big to turn around in this 20 gallon tank, but i have 254 fx5's so its all good"

im saying no, you cant just generalise snakeheads into dwarf, medium and giant and then say dwarfs can be kept with other fish, the two species they were talking about are sub tropical but you can bet most in the pet trade are in 28 deg tanks. one of the guys saying 'yes you can' has 16'000 posts and it is purely bad info, no-one elaborated on why on that point! if he had given specific species and and possible tank mates i wouldnt have got so annoyed...

well i say annoyed i like an excuse to entertain myself with a debate lol, especially if someone with a huge post count (would indicate they know what they are talking about) cant string a decent useful reply together, forum posts need to be something that is helpful to the entire world we all have access after a simple google search!

i bet alot of ppl have read that and thrown their new dwarf snakehead in with tetras or jags, bad info should be deleted from the net.

bad info should be deleted from the net.[/QUOTE]

Then there would be nothing but porn and pictures of cute and funny dogs and cats left...
