Just like everybody else on this website, I love fish. It's just that nobody I know is a fish enthuiast, and it sucks, because I can't talk to them about fish or anything. One of them keeps some tetras and guppies in a 10 gallon, but he doesn't really care about them. So is this the same story for just about everybody else here?

some of the folks online are friends in the real world. rallysman and rallyb!atch are husband and wife so i guess that works out pretty good.

most definately...my boys are into getttin wasted every weekend which i cantt deny i dont love but it would be nice to bs to someone in person about the hobby
i thought it was the same way here. When i finally got a job at a LFS i soon realized there were plenty of people to talk fish with. My friend and i both got into around the same time. Considering we've been best friends for 10 years its easy to talk fish, but meeting others is nice too. Your best bet is to go out and make friends at the LFS, chances are someone there is almost in to fish as you are.
I insist my friends go to fish shops with me. I tell them we're going to an "amazing store I found," and then we show up, and I drag them through the LFS explaining things. Slowly but surely, one of my friends is sort've getting into fish.
yeah in Indy there are actually quite a few of us who all get together in real life. It's great cause we don't think we're weird when we obsessively talk about fish 
Although Rallysman and Rallysbrain are not husband and wife but they may as well be. Other than that my other friends like to hear a little bit about it but I think they're just letting me teach them about it cause I enjoy it lol

Yeah I'm going to have to learn to like fishing so I can get invited to the fishing.
It is nice that we have a great group of guys/girls in Indiana..... and Chicago.
