Mr. Black, I don't buy your statement and I don't buy that the OP's gar would get 25 inches in a 75 gallon tank. That fish would have been too cramped and died long ago, either the OP is really lucky or overestimating the size of his fish. If the OP's gar is 25 inches then it must have a lot of health problems. The thing that bugs me is why would you buy a fish that gets pretty large and put it in a tank that is not of suitable size?? Get the tank then the fish!!
