Well everyone just like the title says, Long Live The General. Yes, unfortunately that means he is no longer with us
He and his female went thru a terrible accident which i dont feel comfortable discussing. So PLEASE DON'T ASK me cause I dont want to talk about it. I am really, really gonna miss that guy
He was a magnificent speciman and a prolific breeder. I really dont know what to say, Im still in shock over this whole ordeal. So I am posting a farewell thread to my most loved fish, here are some pics and videos from over the last year. I cant find any pics from when i bought him but they are posted in the Species of the month "Caquetaia Umbriferum" thread that was posted last year.
I did manage to save a few hundred fry from their last spawn and a few growouts 2-5" from previous spawns
I do plan on growing a few out from the last batch for myself but the rest and the larger growouts are available to anyone who wants any, if so please pm me as im not sure ill post a sale ad in the market place for them. I will also post a video of the larger male growout i have that is 4.5-5".
I am very happy to see some of his fry being grown out and posted by other members on here As it the General did a fantastic job creating some of the best looking umbee fry and juvies ive ever seen. And with that i am saying Farewell to my buddy and favorite fish, the General. R.I.P
