Some of us here owns big tank, thus, know what it takes to get and maintain a big tank. It's great to have a big tank, but it doesn't mean others, whose tank is smaller than yours, can't keep the same fish, which you've kept in small tank until you "graduate" to the "big tank" league! Some of you guys sound like "The Rock" in the movie "Tooth Fairy!"Just remember, if you can keep whatever fish in whatever size of tank, than someone else can and may do the same. You're not special! Even if you think you are, then share the knowledge that you think made you "special." Don't be the guy that "I can do it, but you can't!"
And if you don't know or have any knowledge, either you can learn, or you can move on... The OP is looking for information, not asking for your belief...
Maybe you missed the part about the OP wanting to know the size of a tank for life. I am all for upgrading, and grow out tanks ( I am getting my 10x6 next month
