fish are looking good michael! IMO longnoses don't get nearly as much press as they deserve, this was actually the first species of gar that i ever kept. keep us posted with updates!--

I agree with peoples sentiments about the LNG in this thread. I think that their sleek bodies and heavy spotted tails in contrast with their unspotted bodies make for a very interesting gar. They're my favorite gar type to date.
They are not as skittish as the shortnose gar, but they take longer to eat (catching at the tip of their jaws and slowly shifting it down to their gape) and this does cause a lot of interest from other fish in what they've got. Other gars and arowana's will make you cringe trying to steal food from your longnose - beware!
