Just saw this thread. I would have come down there to show you how to set-up and run a wet dry. The fact you can hide the heaters in there is worth it. I have had smaller O's, maybe 7-8" run into heaters and explode them. Your PBass' are going be brusiers in a few years. Anyways, the stand looks really nice. Well done, and the driftwood will look sweet w/some Javas or Anubias growing on it.

i am gonna have a 29gallon that can be used as a small wet/dry once i grow out the small pbass that i just bought. i would have to get one of those hob overflows. but the whole thing that kinda steers me away is have all that water go down to an open tank and the pump stop then i think i would start overflowing and if that were to happen i would be a dead man :ROFL:

and i was thinking about putting some javamoss on the big piece of driftwood and mayb a few anubias.

i like the look off the white sand with a black background

for the heaters i am thinking about sooner or later replacing the ones i have for the visi stealth heaters
 
That's gotta be one of the best home-made stands I've ever seen. I'm scared of wet/drys too overflowing into the floor.

A Properly designed Sump will have no opporunity to overflow. If someone has had a sump overflow it was designed very poorly. The very basic purpose of a wet dry sump is to contain an overflow from the tank.

Or they have filled it too much, to start with...
 
A small hole drilled in the return just under the waterline will shut off any siphon action. A 29 on a 210 maybe a little on the small side, but can work. Let me know if you need any help.
 
its a 72 x 24.5 i think
and as for filtration i think im gonna be good for a while with an FX5 and 2 AC110s
 
Plenty of filtration for awhile.
