In Thailand, believe it or not, Clown Loches are considered a food fish. The worst part is that they take the big, fat mature ones.

They sell them frozen pre-packaged at asian markets in the U.S. I believe, as well as clown knifes.

All large fish we love are food fish in their native lands.

this does not schock me one bit.

what does schock me is rich asians ( and whatever ) paying 50,000 just for the kicks of eating an expensive asian aro...stupidity schocks me. Life as usual, wherever it takes place and the inherent habits and customs, does not schock me.

The Greenie arowana in the last pic was mine.....

It was killed by a big Datnoid, and a friend thought it would be interesting to see what it taste like.....

So it was gutted, de-scaled, stuffed with onions, peppers, ginger, and a few other spices........it was steamed, topped off with some soya sauce, green onion, and drizzled with seasame oil......

All I could say, by the look of my buddies face....

It was FINGER LICKING GOOD!

LOL

Nowadays that people go to their local LFS, grab a tank, buy few fish for it, then assume that, that is all these fish are for!:screwy:

Until McDanolds chops off the fishes head, Fillets it, throws couple bread patties around it, it won't be considered food in todays times!

Bring on the McARo.....:headbang2

this is no big deal

look what they do to sheep in NZ :D

in my country (Malaysia) and Singapore, poeple used to (often) eat Channa Micropeltes (giant snakehead) and Channa Striasta during festival season such like Chinese New Year. And cant deny, its TASTY, i tried it lots of time.

But for Silver Aro, its jst kind of waste, i would nver wanna try to eat it....
