nice pick up,hard to believe at one time i had the biggest african cichlid collection on the east coast.I had 62 tanks full of them back in the early 80's.I love your peacocks, makes me think about the ones i once had.

Thanks! They're pretty. I'm currently looking for a deal on a 180+ to do an in-wall tank in my basement for a Tang/Front colony tank, and I'm about to venture into the world of marine with a 75 I just picked up. We've got some nice Snoflake Morays where I work nights at. Once I get my big tank downstairs I'm converting the 125 to all peacock/hap tank, and I'm changing over to black gravel tomorrow.

I've seen some of your fish and tanks and I've gotta say I'm impressed! I wish I could have have the collection you have ;)

You got a great deal. The fronts you have are burundi frontosa . I have some and they look the same. Try to get her other ones (call her up and say the poor fish is lonely LOL). Watch out those peacocks dont nip off the trailers of the fronts. (they often nip off the gorgeous fin extentions that fronts get)

Thanks, I thought they were burundi.

My tank is suprisingly peaceful, no one ever really fights, but I'll keep an eye on them just the same. We've got 3 red fronts and 2 more burundi's at my store, I'm going to talk to the owner tonight and try to get a good deal on the rest of them :D We have 3 Zaire blues too, but they're asking way too much for them.

reds are usually line breed Burundi...

I think they'd make a nice addition, only one has a deformed mouth. Looks like Elvis. There are also 2 4" Burundi, one is especially nice looking and not shy either, always out in it's tank fins spread. The other is shy and is constantly rearranging it's tank.

The reds are cheaper than the others too

Red frontosa=:nilly:

never seen a red frontosa in person...but dont look red to me on the internet......but did you get that other guy from the same owner?

red fronts ruin quailty :-| hate them.
i love wc blue zaires
