I am an avid hunter. Would I ever shoot one of these? No.

They really are not all that common, and I only kill things that I eat.

You are a lucky man to have seen one in real life. They are making a comeback in lots of places, and actually the local university here has somewhat of a specialist on the subject. He came to our property and set out pheromone traps, and within that night we had a bobcat come around to see what was up. Caught his calls on tape and man is that a crazy sound. They also got some hair samples for their records. A cool animal. You are a lucky guy.

As far as the guy that has one...I wonder how he got it. Something is up to have one that small. It doesnt just go wandering around at a size like that. Must have been a rescue or something. Hope he is able to provide for its needs.

It's not an animal you can eat, so yes, I think killing one would be idiotic.

^no offence but another anti hunter that really doesnt know what they are talking about.

and id love to own one. Iv looked into big cats. In fact i have full intentions of purchasing an african serval. Problem is its alot of work to get the permit I will need. Im hoping to get one in a few years but its gotta take some work. People wonder why im so against permits. Look into PA's permit process for a big cat. I can own a croc or a HOT with less work. By less i mean i dont have to do a thing to own them.

God i hate permits

edit* just so people know what i mean
