ur right its not always perfect or responcible. But hunting provides a larger cash revenue for many areas as well as protection for animals that other wise might not get it.
PS ecotourism and hunting can go hand in hand. u do realise that?

Can, but not necessarily.
http://www.endangeredspecieshandbook.org/persecution_trophyecotourism.php

Countries that allow hunting of the largest specimens of their wildlife, whether elephants or Leopards, are likely to suffer loss of tourist revenue because they have fewer larger animals and the hunted species often become either shy, hiding from tourists, or belligerent, charging them. A recent article in Africa. Environment and Wildlife, a magazine affiliated with World Wildlife Fund South Africa, gave advice to tourists coming to Okavango. Daryl and Sharna Balfour (1998) recommended that tourists avoid coming during hunting season, which runs from early April to mid-September, because game is "scarce in this areas, skittish and almost impossible to approach." They further noted that the sound of gunfire and the sight of carcass-laden vehicles can be disconcerting (Balfour and Balfour 1998).

I did not see him but he was back.....tracks in the snow dont lie....He must live in the undevelopable land behind my house.....Probably 200 acres of woods/wilderness behind me.....he is probably using my Koi ponds as a water supply....footprints lead right to it.

wow. u posted a link to a group that obviously is hard core anti-hunting that uses information that much of is 12 to 24 years old. they are so anti hunting, thier site is actually entertaining. Its histerical really

There is alot of info out there. Plenty supports both sides with plenty of "research" done for both sides. Fact of the matter is they are gonna kill some of the elephants anyways. Lions too as well as many others. Hunting brings in money for animals that otherwise would have just been shot.

Wow, Chefken, I envy your office view.
Here in Holland I'm highly excited when a blackbird comes up to my window.
Seriously.

P.S.
