For those that don't know Reef Flo is made by Sequence. Here's an independent test done by Aquatic Eco System and documented in Koi Nation by Michael D. Cox.

Just got my new 225g fired up. Here's the 1/15 Wave at 1.3 amps. Tank's only a quarter full and the pump still puts out.

Ended up buying only four pumps last Friday. We already had a new Hammerhead pump still in its box. Bought it over five years ago for a backup pump, but never had occasion to use it. Went with two Barracuda Golds as they had more gph than the regular Barracudas. The single Hammerhead pump on our 300 gallon tank puts out a tremendous current that our fish love. Here's a clip taken about four years ago during a water change. You can see how the water churns.

At the end of the water change, our fish head straight for the "headwaters" to play. The current is so swift, Tommy the lutino oscar goes body surfing. The Hammerhead pump periodically spits out air, keeping the tank well aerated.

pacu mom, thanks for the pics!! that is great.. looks like when i get it set up i'll have to put the return hose on the backside of the tank so that there will be a calm(er) water area where the bichers will be.

or i might split the returns.. more stuff to figure out.. lol.

I have to put my $0.02 in for the Reeflo pumps. I've had a couple different models and was pleased with both of them.
