Looking For A Bigger Pellet.

Kens largest pellets are not that big. Omega One is an excellent food but their largest pellets are a fairly small. The largest I have found are the NLS for EX Large Fish at 7.5 mm. I have looked for large pellets to feed Dovii and Cichla. I finally decided to just stick with the better foods and feed a little more if necessary. So I used the NLS pellets, Kensfish sticks, Omega One wafers, and occasionally Hikari Bio Gold. You can get the NLS pellets in five pound buckets for no more than $60 shipped from somebody on this forum. The Kensfish cichlid sticks come in a mixed bag at like $9 a pound. You can't beat those prices anywhere for good quality food.

kensfish.com also has a 7.5 mm pellet...for size reference, these pellets are about the same size as captain crunch peanut butter cereal or reeces peanut butter puffs <this is actually what they look like..same colors with brown and tan..lol>. these are the largest pellets I've seen so far. :)

There's less chance of pellets swelling up insdie of them and causing problems if they're smaller. My full grown Oscars still get the medium size pellet because of that. It's probably just an unfounded worry of mine :)
