I don't know if it means anything to anyone but the picture of the bowfin pops up on some forums and is a few years old.

yea someone should check it out in person before dropping 106$ is that including the 40$ shipping? guy has no reviews or website I'm not willing to risk my 150$

I am not certain on Virginia law, but I didn't see Virginia on the illegal states list here:

To be clear, bowfin are a North American native species and according to this range map they are native to most of Virginia:

Bowfin are NOT snake heads (Channa genus) they are Amia calva.
