Hey guys, I am looking to get another bicher. I love these little guys and they are my favorite group of fish. I am looking to get another species I have a delhazi, and an Senegal.

Here are the requirements.
Wouldnt get huge (under 20 inches)
Won't break The bank ( under $75)
Must be able to get under 4 inches. (I like to grow them out, my Senegal u got at 2 inches and he loves to see me. My delhazi I just got at 10 inches is a little shy.
Must be able to actually get a hold of on the market. (Don't send fish I can't buy)

Thanks guys look forward to your replys.

I love endlis but they don't stay small and would possibly end up eating the Sen over time.

What size tank do you have?

I recommend Polli for you. You can get them smaller if you can find tank-raised ones, they stay smaller, they don't break the bank, and they are a very active species of bichir. If you find wild ones you'll likely get them at more like 6 inches but they are still reasonable - the Wet Spot has them now for $45.

Seen some retropinnis at small sizes too. Another good option.

Don't get them too small or will get nipped and picked on. Most upper jaws won't cannabilize on each other.

you read my mind magpie I would definitely stay away from the endli because of size and how they like the taste of sens. Also if you want it to stay under 20" go polli if your willing to go longer I'd do teugelsi

The fish are in a 90 gallon right now, but I'll be buying a 125 or building a 8 long, 2 tall and 4 wide tank. I have grow multiple grow out tanks for any new fish.
