I think they have been banned for quite some time, since they became an invasive species in the states, canada banned them out of precaution, as the northern snakeheads can tolerate our water bodies almost perfectly, if they can thrive in Russia, they can thrive here aswell.

Its also good to see some fellow Canadians on here eh? Lol

That's crazy talk they have them for sale here in Manitoba! They couldn't be banned all over Canada. Besides they aren't even invasive here Considering our very cold winters :p. Yay for Canadians

wait so woudl it be possible when its in university the 75 gallon long will break threw floor? is it common to happen. what are the chances?

If you have a stand the odds of this happening are very slim if not the chances are increased of this happening as with a stand weight is on four main points while without a stand it is in a general area. A 75 gallon tank there are extremely low chances of this happening like 1in 1000 as if a floor cannot hold an 800 pound fish tank then it is not safe to be standing on as the floor beams would not support a low weight in such pressure points.

looked into cichlids there awesome but wanted something a wee bit diff more ferocious like a piranha when eating but can live full life 75 gallon with a not a lrger total for everything tanks equipment etc more than 600-700 dollars. but remmember ive only kept lizards and a small 10 gallon community tank for almost 5 years now. cant get snakehead due to legal issues and piranhas to unactive. and all other predators just frikin eat and regurgatate rather than a awesome cool kill like piranhas do it like and snakeheads! any good fish to look for with my quaries?:naughty:

please anyone think a 75 gallon would break through the floor in university>?

75 shouldnt break through the floor unless the building is crap lol. If your worried about that juat put a large wood plank lomger and wider than the tank itself under the tank to help spread the weight. Lots of people have 100gal tanks on the tp floor of their house.
