I think gars would look nice. but is there a smaller specie?

those fish dont ONLY stay at the bottom. there isnt a rule book to where the fish must stay. you have obviosly never kept any of the fish i suggested.

def needle fish...I have three in my 120 and they are awsome....only aggressive towards feeders, swim at the top, and don't get to big...plus I am lucky enough to have a breeding pair...maybe you will be lucky too...

Leopard Ctenopoma?

I think the scientific name is Ctenopoma Acustoire (sp?).

They would work, but they stay near the mid-top of the tank.
