I said Pike CHARACINS, i am talking about fish like Spotted/Striped Pike Characin.
Giant Danio's you say, i am more looking for a single/exotic maybe kind of fish.

pike characins can be weaned off live.
a shoal of them really is a site to behold...

archers rainbows and kili fish are cool gars are good but yet again grow too large I would personally go with archers there really cool epically to feed

I actually thought about Ctenopoma, i will just have too think this all through, whats available etc etc.

Rox: Im not in the situation to be weaning fish off live food, i am to lazy for that. It was hard to get my Dat off live so i drew a line.

I'm pretty sure Archers are brackish water fish.

Archers can easily be kept in freshwater with NO problems, just hard to get over here.

Where is this info coming from? I've never heard such a thing...

edit: apparently a few kinds of Archers "occur" in freshwater, meaning that they can tolerate it... I didn't even know that. I thought it would be the equivalent of someone tossing a Mono into their FW tank.

Mono's and archers can most of the time be kept in fresh water.

These information come from icelandic fish keepers that know they're stuff.

I know about the con and the festae, an oscar would not be cool in that tank because he will propably eat some of the smaller poly's.
