Hi, welcome to MFK. Don't want to put a downer on you but you will need a much larger tank to keep a vittatus in for life, they need a 500usg minimum (approx 1900 liter) but you might be able to keep a brevis, make a thread about it or pm chicxulub, he really knows his stuff with ATF's.
My set up ATM is a 4x2 with 2x 1000lph large canister filters and a powerful power head, can't remember exactly what lph it is, this set up won't last long for him and I'm building an 8x4x3 early next year, getting the glass made January or February and will be making a thread about it if your interested. If you have any more questions let me know and I will help you the best I can

Yeh I know the 5x2x2 won't be big enough for life, i have got a northern pike pond 24x12x5ft had it for a good 5 years. It's currently stocked with koi and northern pike, me and the wife are discussing how much it would be to add a swimming pool heater (small one below 12kw) just get the 25 degree temperature. We have been wanting to get rid of the koi now for a few months as they just make to much mess! The pike are great! Biggest pike in there is 2ft and feeding on frozen fuzzy mice! & chicks! Lol... But we want try out a heated outdoor pond, with tropical predators :-) I don't no exact volume of water but I no it's a lot. All these plans are for 2014 :-)

Brevis is one of the biggest species. It's the Goliath of the Nile River.

You're thinking of Hydrocynus forskahlii. FATF is easily the best species to be kept in aquaria. They are unlikely to exceed 15" or so even over the long term. I suppose a big old female might get a bit bigger, but it's unlikely. They're comparable to bala sharks size wise.

I highly recommend getting a FATF. They have the same superb colors of a VATF but don't grow as big. The one I had had superb personality, too. He was fearless, begged for food and would even hand feed. I highly recommend FATF.

Nice! I would really love to see a vid of your pike, they are my favorite fish in the UK :) I looked into heating a pond and definitely look into the cost before you commit, it costs an absolute bomb! Luckily I have the room to build an aquarium the size I can, if you do go ahead it would be really cool to make a thread on here with updates of set ups and fish you add. Good luck mate

Have you tried calling APC? Normally courier firms can find the details of an order with just your post code. They may be able to csll the driver en route for an update.
