Thanks everyone, yea I can see it now you have pointed it out rob, thanks :) yea he is settling in really well, I'm thinking of trading the oscar I inherited for some tinfoil barbs to help me pellet train him.

I will get more pics when I can

Sorry I missed this post before, still can't get any good pics of the fish but here is my tank, the filter intake suckers have perished and I need more that's why is in the middle of the tank lol

Thanks, it was a lot better but I sold all of my fish and decorations and set it back up with the "grey" sand and higher flow ready for the ATF :) it's only 400 litre, that's why I need to get working on building the huge 1 ASAP lol luckily ATFs grow reasonably slow haha

Your doing similar to me, my grow out tank is going be 520 litres 5ft then hopefully go for a bigger tank later in the new year :-) keep us updated with you ATF mate, have you tried feeding that bad boy yet??

Yea I update keep updating on here and maybe start a growout thread when I get more pics :) yea I'm trying to pellet train him but no interest at all so far, got some tinfoil barbs as teacher fish so hopefully that helps, can't wait to see him in action lol let me know when you get yours

Mine won't be in the tank for a good month or so yet, I've only just bought the tank brand new so it's going need a month to 6 weeks maturing and settling down before I spend £100 on a VATF, im just in process of buying 2 x 2000lph canister filters and. 24watt uv system, it's all money money money! Lol I'm still researching best water conditions for the fish I want, as there is limited amount of info on the web :-( I need read through this forum find out as much as I can :-)

Plus I'm a little skint at the minute the tank and stand cost me £999 and the filters are £98 each and I need 2 of them lol! The uv system only cost £35 luckily, and that's just the bare essentials aha, I'm hoping be up and running by end of January 2014, if everything goes to plan and the cash flow doesn't stop! :p I budgeted for total spend to be £1500 and I've got a feeling it's going be way above that aha.. Thanks for the link I'm going read through that now :-)
