Yeah, if you get the 55, I would suggest doing a community tank with tetras, barbs, the rams, and maybe some livebearers. The livebearers would produce free food for your monsters

Freshwater pipefish will starve in the midst of all these fish . Most likely stress them as well . They are a species only tank IMO.
