internet books etc.

i am nursing a long range plan to try breeding blacks. but any info on any species would be appreciated.....

thanks in advance for your help :) :)

John, get a bunch of medium sized ones, let a pair find themselves...lots of guys say that they mate while swimming, so a big pond would be necessary...o the other hand we all have seen vids of asians breeding in normal sized tanks..

Main thing is let a pair form itself out of a group...proceed from there...would lve to follow that..:) are you going to start asap?:)

Yea keep us all updated!!

i have 4 and 2 more on the way for a total of 6 currently in growout ( 2400 gal system).........:D :D

you'll make it..with that gallonage and fish expertise..they reach maturity around 3 years of age...keep us posted, ok?

you'll only go for blacks?

yah john, your tank is plenty. you could probably stick about 10 or so in there but dont expect to see any babies for atleast 4 years or so. 3 if your lucky. or even lucky to get a breeding pair.

Just make sure you got more females than male in the pond. Make it a point of mixing 5 females to 1 male ratio.
