I think this guy is on the wrong website...www.MONSTERFISHKEEPERS.com
I have a redtailed shark and really enjoy him being in my tank. Look into some of the rainbow fish from australia. Those are really awesome looking and get very colourful and about 6-7 inches.

They look really awesome when they grow larger.

I tried cichlids by default and it was just an awful experience. I was unprepared to say the least, but it made me not want them anytime soon. I am still looking into everyone's reccomendations. Keep all the options coming... I can never get too many! Thanks

I would like one or two fish in the 6" range so it fills up the tank a little bit more. I currently have a shrimp in the tank and I have seen loaches eat shrimp so I have to stay away from those unfortunately. So out of the ones you listed, do any of them get to be about 6 inches? Possibly any others you may be able to think of that get around that size? Thanks

6'*2'*2' is 24 cubic feet, about 7.5 gallons per cubic foot, so 24*7.5=180
there are a lot of 6 inch fish that will be happy to deal with the shrimp population in your tank.
That's 85 gallons. Aside from neons, dwarf gourami and swordtails, how about trying some snails? Let me know which ones you like and I'll run in a few suggestions for you along with advice for calcium supplements to keep healthy shell growth. They can be fascinating to say the least and are compatible with hillstream loaches and kuhli loaches. Both loach species are also compatible with shrimps however hillstreams prefer cooler waters with powerful flows so hillies may be out of the question. Do you plan to make the tank planted?hcky4206sic6;2705877; said:I retook the measurements yesterday for another thread I have started. Come to find out it is 6 feet long 13" wide and 21" deep. So I was off just a little bit.![]()
