ok so i have a 75g with a 7" senegal bichir 4.5" black ghost knife and a 3" stripped rapheal cat and im looking for some tankmates that are more active during the day. and that aren't always on the bottom, im open to pretty much any idea.

im also going to be adding a delhezi bichir soon as well.

filtration is 2 Fluval C4's and an eheim 2217

More active....uhm a school of a larger tetra would be nice...might be eaten if the del or sen exceed 12". Congo Tetra, diamond tetra, columbian tetra, black skirted tetra, all nice options. Hatchet fish at the top, pretty active, most likely won't get eaten...Hell you could probably go with 5-6 Discus if you were up for it...those along with live plants would be nice in that tank.

i have been thinking of going to live plants, slowly but surely. thought about discus but idk if im up for them yet. im more into oddballs as you can see from my stock list, unfortunetly most bigger oddballs get to big for my 75. the 2217 puts out decent current at least according to me, and i've thought about angels but don't know how they would do with the current.

Arowana if its an option but you will need to upgrade.

living with parents, planning on moving to tenn in a couple years, no money to upgrade to a sufficicent tank later, recent car accident in search of new car. would need to upgrade very soon, if i can convince my dad to let me build or buy a 300g i'll get an aro, but that would be a while off anyway

i want a black aro so badly (illegal here) so im waiting til i move to tenn and have my own place before i build a 600g+ tank and put some aro's in it

Sweet plan. Taking it slow and steady is good no need to rush in and burn out. Would discus work? They are colourful and dwell on the top.

I am a big fan of Giant Danios to add some action in a tank. They never quit playing around, and can out swim just about anything that might want to eat them.

I would do some roseline sharks. At my LFS someone brought some big and I mean big and thick roselines in probally 7 inches and they are in a 90 with some silver dollars and they look spectacular. Always swimming all over the tank also.
