Looking to buy canister filters for my tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
also the eheim is about $170 more .. and since im getting 3 that makes a large difference.. is 2x the cost really worth the name?

well i picked up 2 of them anyways ... maybe a 3rd after i build the 300 gal tank .. i guess i will have to learn the hard way if i am wrong ..

You are on the right track....and anybody who says FX5's are cheaply made has never seen or owned one. Canisters are made to sit and run water through them. The only parts that might get worn out is the impeller and possibly the shutoff valves.
The hoses are way more flexible and easier to route...and all the plumbing is top drawer stuff...

If you want good quality, get the 2260. If you just want a big filter, and don't mind that it's cheaply made, get the FX5. Both will work fine, one will just outlast the other by years.
Do you have experience with the FX5?
