Losing interest?

Oh. I thought you linked me to the page with the tank. The tank is fine, but I would be worried about the stand. It looks terrible. See if you can bring them down to $100-$125, since the stand will need to be replaced.

My goal with getting back in to the hobby was to just have one big, beautiful tank that I can sit and enjoy watching. I planned the whole space around it, so the whole room is very attractive and comfortable, which makes watching the tank easier and more pleasurable. There are places to sit, including a nice couch, and good viewing angles, plus my computer and acoustic guitars. I'm happy with the setup and will never lose interest because it was designed from the ground up for long term success and easy maintenance.

And I have to say, your tank is amazing.

Take your time to setup your tank.
I'm setting up my saltwater tank a year ago and it still not finish yet (only few cheap/easy fish species to keep the tank at minimal cycle).
I do sometimes just sit in front (after work) of my tank and stare at my rock work for hours, sometimes I got a new ideal then I'll re-arrange my rock work for new look (or trying to set it up for my up coming species). That would keep me busy and enjoy my tank while I trying to get my favorite species.

When you're young it's easy to lose interest in hobbies and move on to new things quickly. Don't try and fight it or dwell on it. If you find fish keeping gets boring to you do something else. It's a hobby best suited for periods of your life that are very stable and that you have reliable spans of time to put the work in. I got into it heavily in my teens and early twenties and just got back into it last year as I now own a home and will be getting married. There's no shame in putting something to the side for a while if it's not what you want to do with your time. I switched hobbies and interests constantly and when you get older it's easier to see what really sticks. Life's weird... You'll figure it out eventually.

I don't think that fishkeeping is boring. I just have not had much time to do it, but now i have more time and i am getting more into it.

I almost feel like i am losing interest in fish but i don't want to. I have not done a water change on one of my tanks for like 7 months. I have plans for larger tanks and ponds, but i am afraid that i am going to lose interest. I was really interested in electronics for a brief period of time and then i just lost interest. I was interested in electronics for about 4 months. I have had fish for a very long time and i am afraid i will loose interest. I was interested in fish about 6 years ago and i had a 19 gallon tank and i lost interest. I had a goldfish in that 10 gallon and i moved him to a 20 and then a 55 and i was really interested but i am afraid i am going to lose interest again. Maybe it is because i have not done much new with aquariums recently. I hope i don't loose interest in fish like i did with electronics, but i was never really passionate about electronics like i am with fish. I feel like i am neglecting my fish. I have been super busy and really stressed during the 2015-16 school year. That was my teacher's last year teaching. She is now retired. She is dying from smoking 60+ cigarettes a day. She would leave class every 30 minutes to smoke. The beginning of the school year was great, but it got bad as my teacher got sicker.
bummer
