Sorry about your fish. May your son keep fish of his own someday.
And then kn04te can fill up his tank with cold water! Man, you really play the long game but that's perfect!

Maybe I should give the trachy the name...fat bastard from Austin powers!Yes. I think I’ll get another moke and p polli. Or I’ll just get one moke. Haven’t made my mind up. But gonna wait for now. There’s some other things I gotta think about getting and also moving the glutinous trachycorystes.

How did the fish die? I do waterchanges straight out the hose my tank temperature after a waterchange is sub 50 and it'll take about 3-5 hours to warm it back up. I've never lost a fish in over 10 years. I keep sensitive fishes ie Discus and stingrays
ThanksThose are tough losses OP...my daughter decided feed my very expensive colony of Taiwan Bee Shrimp some candy and I lost them all. Hope the rest pull through!
You want me to do a water change with a thermo and record it for you? You live in CA you should know right out the hose its pretty damn cold. I drain about 75-80% of my tank water every other day. My heater is in my sump so the tank gets freezing water thrown in by the hose and not until my water change is complete will my tank start heating up. I am cheap I use a single 300w submersible heater. It takes about 5-6 hours to warm up. The water in my tank is cold enough when I put my arm in theres tiny steams evapping from my arm lol. Many here can testifyThose are tough losses OP...my daughter decided feed my very expensive colony of Taiwan Bee Shrimp some candy and I lost them all. Hope the rest pull through!
Dloks ...not that I don't believe you but I find it hard to understand how your discus and rays handle sub 50 degree Fahrenheit water changes with no issues for 10 years!?!?
