Ive seen one of these for the first time in my life last week. It was pretty sad to see some struggle with their swimming while others were swimming fine like they never got their tails cut off. I think its horrible that people would do this to these fish. I almost bought one because i felt so bad for it, but i figured that i was probably going to add to the problem because if i bought one they would think these are in high demand and order more.

on the contrary u can buy dem to save dem, but make sure its selling at a buck or a few cents. hrhr

i wont argue about this topic but i do believe its wrong to do this to fish........i was given one of these......it died
i had no idea what it was till i did my research
i would have cared for it as long as it lived but never would i buy one
i felt sorry for the poor thing
ive never seen one for sale in my city
i dont even know where it could have came from?

almost wish it hadnt fallen in my lap because i was flamed for this travesty to fish and had to defend myself vigorously........THE END

I've one but mine is naturally deformed, not mutilated..
I do agree that this practise is an act of cruelty & it should be completely banned..
But to say they have problem swimming, some maybe while others have adapted to it..

I personally think this is not a right or wrong issue, but more of trial and error practice that got accepted. For instance, I sometime feel that breeding Red Texas never sounds right to me when it comes to mating the grown up fry back to one of the parent, we see family members killing each others before a perfect pairs match, we see deforms, we see culls, we see people praise to each other when one so so beauty born out of hundreds....
