How low a flow are you proposing ?
How are you supplying water to the sump ?
As many posts have covered the concept and construction of the RUGF/UGJ, my questions relate to how are you going to deal with the now suspended mulm. Assuming for the sake of discussion that a so far undefined low flow rate will keep it in suspension, how do you propose to direct the mulm to a collection point(s) ? My question is not rhetorical as I am currently working on a similar setup ,albeit with a fairly high flow rate.
Does anyone have ideas for the OP on this ?

Cool im glad they do, so will mine then lol. im putting my lil juvies into a 90, their going to look tiny! but they'll have so much space!!

is low flow really bonly necessary when breeding?

Matt

I adjust it , thats the nice thing about the 2180. If I am in my fishroom watching them I crank it up and maybe turn on a powerhead to stir things up. if I see a female with a tube down or if I have one holding I keep things low flow. When I have it cranked up they dont seem to mind it, sometimes they swim against the current. I have a koralia circulation pump that is like 1500gph that I turn on sometimes to stir poo but for the most part I keep the 2180 at 100% flow. I dont think they would like it too turbulent all the time (adults) . I also pretty much keep a bare bottom, maybe just a fine layer of pool filter sand to cut out reflections
