lower jaw polys in a 55gal?

clm08k , If you can pull off the '75g takes up pretty much the same floor space as a 55g' then I suggest just talk them into the taller 90g.

Then you can try talking them into a 24 x 48 footprint (120g), which of course with that many gallons you might as well just get the 180g...

If I could talk my way up from starting with a 65B and then going to a 120g, a 210g and now a 300g then you should be able to convince the parents!

Then you can get the polys you really want.

Ill say go for lower jaw and ornate, then once they grow, ask your parents its time for upgarde cause they starting to out grow the tank, then your parents can see it, 55g should be good till the polys are 1'.

An example in a 55g if obtained at 4". Everything u listed above will grow to 10"-14" in a 9-12 month spam. In my opinion the slowest growth in order would be Teug, weeksii, ansorgii, koloton, ornate, & so on...

I biught my cb endli back in march 2016 1"-2", they where in the 75g then when i bought the 180g back in august 2016 they were about 6", same for the ornate. My cb endli caught up to the ornate size. The cb endli will be 1 yr this march but still 10".

what about for a del, palmas, buettikeferi?

In terms of your situation the ornate and cb endli would probably apply. Started out at a very skinny 5ish inches when we got him in march of 2015. Maybe 14 inches now cant be sure havent measured him since we lived in ny. but growth slowed allot at about 10 to 11 inches then just started getting fatter.

Our cb endli was maybe 3 or 4 inches started out in a 10 then 30 then 75 now in the 150. Its probably 10 inches and still would be fine in a 55

Wc grow much faster than cb
