LSU doing it big

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
OSU, is embarrassing OU. With VT getting beat by Clemson as well, Im starting to worry that OSU may leapfrog the Tide.

isn't bama's strength of schedule still significantly better? didn't they play like 5 ranked teams? Sucks to have been off this weekend though as bama won't be as fresh on the media voter's mind

I know, it's going to be insane...

I seriously doubt it. As much as the BCS loves money, they know that LSU vs BAMA, though may not make for the most exciting game, the fans are close and the dome will be packed. ching ching!

1/3 of the bcs formula is the associated press or harris poll (media), they're prob the only ones that care about creating the most exciting match ups). 1/3 is coaches, they'll go by their personal belief or what they would want to happen if they were in bama's shoes and then the last 1/3 is the computers, who don't give a crap about money. there's no "they". Where you see the BCS committe changing things is the other bowl games, not the title game

saw the score as i dropped by the house this afternoon, silently laughed to myself as i remembered this post. Houston finally plays a ranked team and gets spanked. LSU might've put up 100 on them in a title game

41/67 for 373 yards with a 111.8 passer rating without big-name receivers. I admit 2 INT's sucks, but other than that, if you can't win scoring 28 points, something's wrong with your defense. I was talking about the QB, not the team.

yay, another boring LSU/BAMA game. Although, I hope that LSU crushes them, but I won't be watching. I'm very disappointed that Boise State doesn't get a quality opponent (ASU, what a joke for an opponent) and that Kellen Moore wasn't even in the running for the Davey O'Brien award. Another crappy thing is that even if BSU wouldn't have lost to TCU, they still probably wouldn't have had a chance at the title game as there are two 2-loss teams ahead of them in the BCS poll

we were talking about houston deserving a shot in a big bowl game or possibly the title game............later it involved into the quality of the QB. that was one game against a ranked team, imagine if he had 2-3 more, it'd probably be 2-3 more losses and we would probably not be talking about him right now. 28 point doesn't get you a win most of the time in college football anyways unless you're in the SEC. in the biggest game of the year, he didn't put up enough points.

One bad game doesn't necessarily mean they would have had another and I don't agree that you shouldn't win scoring 28 points...look at boring LSU/Bama 1. I do think that I could have overestimated his abilities, though...I'll admit that. Guess it doesn't really matter as they lost. If they had a stronger schedule, it might have been different. I can't see how they should have dropped like 12 spots, though.

you play cupcakes all year (not their fault, they didn't make the schedule), blow them out and then finally play a ranked team and get blown out.....you should drop MORE THEN 12 spots. we can't possibly know if they're good or if they just had a pretty sweet schedule.

my point about 28 points.....28 points will get you a win in the SEC most weeks, it won't in the rest of the conferences. plus....the team averages 50 points! they play one ranked team and boom, 22 points below your average and suddenly it's the defense's fault? The D did their job, kept them below what they normally score lol. houston and case's stats majorly benefitted from that weak schedule, atleast boise played Georgia and TCU.

ps, did case have a bad game or not? first you said he didn't, now you're saying we won't know if they'd have "another bad game" against other ranked teams? i thought he played just fine, it's the standard of the competition that got better, not case getting worse

I want to know why you think the Bama/LSU game is boring? Last time I checked, real football is played with 11 players on the field, not 7 on 7 with a few worthless guys in the middle.

Watching the genius that is the defenses of Alabama and LSU is very rewarding for true football fans that understand the game.

we all want the video game stats, not the field goal games. i mean come on, they even got extra time and didn't score a TD. that doesn't translate well to the television era. i don't think you'd have enjoyed it as much if you weren't emotionally vested in Alabama

personally i watched and didn't mind it but i'd perfer the scores to atleast be in the 10s
