I bet that's interesting. We have an awesome caique at the shop I work at (if I had the money, he'd be mine) that kind of started doing the same over the summer. He became rather....fond of one of my coworkers hand while she was holding him....if you know what I mean. He also became aggressive with certain people, but is generally a people "person"

He's past the "fond" stage.
Now he's just an angry SOB 24/7.
Fights with me, fights with my mum, fights with the dog, fights with the cat.
Anything that gets near his cage, he'll hiss and put up a fuss.

Pretty funny sometimes because he's such a tiny bird.
I keep working with him though.

Caiques? Not from what I've heard. If another bird is being loud, they like to join in, but generally they're quiet, but very active. In the morning, they whistle a lot for attention. The one at the shop does several different whistles as well as a growl and is beginning to say a couple of words

Actually she isnt as bad as I was expecting. Yes she is very loud when she does scream I can hear her easily outside of my house when I am sitting in the car but she only really does it in the morning when we wake up and when she is going to bed. Right now at work we have 2 sun conures and I would mutch rather deal with a macaw then them. And she has been replacing the screaming alot with words instead. She says hello all of the time and is starting to say whats that. Then she also says step up and ouch she learned this from my mom b/c she always used to bite her and my mom would say ouch everytime it was funny whe she was getting her wings clipped she said ouch it was just the perfect timing.

Hyacynth macaws are probably the loudest birds, their screams are deafening!

Lucy is gorgeous!!!! The orange on her belly is so vibrant, looks like a sunset!

Love it! First time I see a cross with a Military
