Yes it has healed up a whole lot. I even think it's flattening back out a bit. As for the changes I am at a loss. It could be the change of food from what killer was feeding him as oppose to what I feed them. But then that would not explain the change back. IDK:screwy: I am just going to have to keep trackof it.

I wonder if the injury had anything to do with it. He had to go through some massive healing, maybe a shock to his system or something. Did Mike ever see it do anything like that when he owned it?

I've noticed one of my TSNs losing their stripes completely and then they come back within a month or so. It kinda freaks me out and makes me thing they are dying, but they still eat, and go about business as normal. Wonder if it's the same process in reverse. Even my large hybrid lost his stripes, and they came back. I posted somewhere about it before. It happens when they are eating really good. Don't know why.

If this fish really holds the Leucism defect, it would be an expensive specimen no?

Kudos to you for not selling it off, if you already haven't paid exorbitantly for it.

That is one theory I never entertained and a very good one. I have not spoke with Mike since picking him up but when I get a chance to chop it up with him I will certainly ask him. From all the times I went into the shop though I never had seen this before.

Man I have been waiting for you to respond.:D And I am so glad that you said that you have seen variations of this before. I was thinking I was loosing him as well. And then it went away I was really freaking out. So could this be apart of there growth stage? Or I was thinking signs of happiness or stress. I don't think it is stress though because he is always just chilling by his self or shadowing my sting ray. They have become sort of an odd couple so to say. I may be feeding a whole lot more then the previous owner so that is a strong possabilty also. He is just showing his approval.:naughty: I am just glad to hear that you have seen this change as well.

Very high price tag from what I understand. I will never say what I paid out of respect for my friend whom I received it from. Let's just say I am blessed to have such wonderful friends in this hobby. And as I always say RESPECT goes a long way in this hobby. I got all of my Wild caught cichlids from him and for prices that were all out of this world. It would make your head spin if I told you.

As for selling it, that may never happen I have already talked to the Local Aquarium and they may have to break bread to get him but I think I will have this guy for as long as I am able to house him. You never know though this is an ever changing world we live in and if the fish requires anything that I can't provide I will put the LTSN's best interest at hand as the previous owner before me had to do. Otherwise we all could miss out on the beauty of this fish and other rare type fish like this one.

Well, a Leucistic ball python costs 6 k from a reputable morph breeder.
And they are alot more hardy than fish.

I can just imagine brother.

It's good that you value it's looks and presence over the $.

Respect.

Right on. If you knew the whole story behind all of this you would understand why I am sure.

If anyone else has seen drastic color changes in there TSN please chime in I am interested in all theory's. But I am leaning towards this being a sign of happiness myself. It is just so freaking weird.
