Lump on GT's Hump!

Took a look at my GT this morning and has a lump on his hump. Wasnt sure if he has just bashed into something because it looks a bit sore and there is another bit behind his eyes.

could possibly be from a bite from a tankmate too...just keep an eye on water quality and it should heal on its own.

I did get mine fully grown not knowing how old he was from someone who knew little to nothing about fish.

Do you have any more information on what happened? Did it stop eating? Any other unusual behaviour or anything?

He didn't imeediately go off his food but slowly ate less and less. Swam around for a while but eventually remained in a corner until he died.

It could be Tuburculousis and if thats the disease I'd get him the hell out of that tank pronto!

Dig a grave.

These are hard to treat.

Toss salt in the tank, daily water changes, no food, higher temps, pray.

could be a parasite....I had to take my fish out of the tank and pull the parasite out
