lvlonster Wet Dry

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Used a 100g poly tank as a settling tank on a 5500g system. Did my wetdry in a garbage can.

Everything is looking good...one thing I dont like about scrubbies is that I feel that the sponge on the inside traps detritus, and becomes a nitrate factory. Hard to get those things completely clean. I would suggest ripping out the sponge interiors as I did with my system.

I will be running a drip sytem so I am not overly concerned about nitrates but I will keep that in mind for sure. I have used scrubbies in my fx5 for around 3 years with no issues.

Yah I can't wait to see water going through this beast its going to be insane :)

Just as another option for scrubbies, check out Do It Best. They do free ship-to-store if there is a store near you, so no shipping costs, and you can get 96 scrubbies for $12.00. Probably the best deal I've found yet on scrubbies, as long as there is a store within easy driving distance that they will ship to.
