i wont just lay those scrubbies down like that, and leave all that open space between them. Make sure to pack them in there, so that no water bypasses the scrubbies.
Great idea but I think the acrylic sheets you used for the walls are a little too thin?
I see the warping alread to the sides. With that side presure will the silicone/glue hold it in place for long? I'm just saying you should check before you start using it. Last thing you want is to have to fix it when this is in use already. Good luck.
The only one holding any water will be resting directly against the scrubbies. and the others are resting against the framing of the inside of the tub.
I will water test it before use ofcourse, but it is just hard to see in the pictures how the inside bracing of the tub will support the weight of the water
When you test the sump with the acrylic holding the water side back, remember that acrylic will sag and flex over time, so even if it holds well to start with, it may flex to the point of blowing a seal several months later.
how did it come out. any pics of it up an running. im also in the works to build a large tank for my rays, an i like ur idea for the wet dry. how did it come out
