I've used Mag 36's on my ray breeding systems for a couple years. Pump life is 1 to 2 years in my experience. They've discontinued both the 24 and the 36 due to the short life span. They've been replaced by the Hy-Drive series of pumps. Much more efficent. I've still got 2 Mag 36's on one system. The other has 2 Hy-Drive 3200's. The Hy-Drive is just as easy to setup as the mags were, but they're quite a bit bigger. They use about half the electricity as the mags did (380 watts for a Mag 36, 200 watts for the Hy-Drive 3200).
